In addition to the wide range of charities supported annually, each year the Black Santa Appeal has a special focus on a charity or group of charities carrying out vital work in our community. For the 2026 50th Anniversary Black Santa Appeal, our special focus will be on the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families.

​

For families facing the reality of a child with a serious or life-limiting condition, the journey can be incredibly difficult. The Children’s Hospice provides care and support when it is needed most, helping families make the most of their time together and ensuring that children and young people receive compassionate, specialist care.

The Hospice’s work extends beyond the child themselves, providing vital support to parents, siblings and the wider family. Whether care is provided at the Hospice or within a family’s own home, its teams help families through some of the most challenging circumstances imaginable.

As we mark the 50th Anniversary of the Black Santa Appeal, we are proud to place a special focus on this important work while continuing to support the many charities and organisations that benefit from the Appeal each year.
